Right... I think that the whole My Dream D8 is a stupid thing. I always thought blogging is a very personal thing. Now it is being used by some people as a publicity tool. That said, I do believe that certain bloggers participating in it are actually true blue sincere bloggers and do have genuine quality in their blogs. One thing we cannot deny though is that there are too much politics and game-play going on in the contest. Well, one has to admit that where there is human interaction, there will be politics, as men can never agree with one another at every single issue.

The hype in it is so worked up and designed that one would be an imbecile to not have suspected it is all but a cash cow of Singtel. Every call earns them money, does it not? Yes, one may get the satisfaction out of a large readership, however, there is a fine line between obscene over-exposure and popularity.

Readership can sometimes hamper one's freedom to express what one actually feels. One can get too aware of how one's readers will feel towards certain issues and choose not to say one's true thoughts. Ever wonder why I have not blogged for a while? Covert sarcasm can be such a lovely attribute.

This is a tribute to my friend, Ivan. Know you since Primary school and all I want to say is that both of us has come a long way to become what we are today. We have proven our detractors wrong and have become stronger. You have shown me things in life that I have yet to learn till I went out with you. I have now realised that we should be proud of who we are. It is a fact that we love the music we listen to and we should be proud about it. Techno music may be no-brainer but it is fun. It is surprising but eurodance is more popular in Europe than the supposedly cool and hip RnB and who actually seriously thinks that music that your parents danced to is all that cool.

Thanks to my friends that have given me support and shown me concern.

Thanks to Mohd Sultan for its joints of eurodance clubs.

Well, it has been an anxious three days for Singapore as the news of the collapse of the Nicoll Highway. In times of adversity, how will Singaporeans react? What was appalling was the way certain people treated the news. From one of the blogs that I happened to read, the host even managed to make a joke out of the matter, claiming it to be a terrorist attack. It was not a suggestion as one could almost hear the snigger off the blog.

Tribute to those that are working on the site to rescue the possible survivors. Sometimes I wondered if my military and heavy equipment training could be put to use in times like this. I may be selfish and inconsiderate at times but I know that I would give my assistance if the nation called. There was a time in the Political Science tutorial when my tutor asked if there were people who would be prepared to go and defend the nation if it was called for. Disgracing it was, as I was the only one who indicated a sense of willingness. Though the Singapore Government was far from satisfactory, one's discontent with the government should not affect one's loyalty to one's nation. Whatever it is, call me war-junkie or old-age thinking, I feel very intensely towards the sovereignty of Singapore. Though I have planned to develop my future abroad, my heart is still with the nation, where I know my family and friends will be.

It may be because my father is in the construction line and my family has experience quite a few things these months, thus I have such strong feelings towards the Nicoll Highway news. It only dawned upon me as I was reading the news today. May be because I am more emotional than in the past, so I cried. One might question that- the Iceman cried? Nothing can compare to my family and I do not ever want to lose them. One will never have enough time to say 'I love you' to one's family. May be that I cry too easily, I cannot hold back when it is about my family. You can call it what you want.
