Does modern social values include friendship? That a friend should never bad-mouth another, that one should speak up for one's friend, that one should repect one's friend and not look down on one's friend? These weeks have made it a blessing in disguise to give me the enlightening signs to know my so-called friends may be just it- so-called. I have friends in a few girls and guys and brothers in Kenneth, Jianhao, the next Kenneth and Mitchell. They are the true pals. I have come to know people who are nothing but false flowers that hides the serpent underneath. Some address me as their brother but they seem to just leech off girls from me and seemingly drank from the poison chalice of underworlds, divulging malicious perspective of me to people that I love.

I have accepted that being a brother means standing by your friend in all situations. Like how Aragorn went to Mordour to fight against the dark army of Sauron, even though the chances for him to win the battle was near non-existent. Like how Legolas stood by Aragorn in the battle. The Lord of the Rings epitomises friendship and brotherhood, virtues that even the most saintly of people in our times may not understand. Not a saintly and surely a sinner, but I treasure my friends and brothers. I ask for people who do not want to be a friend of mine to just stop the facade.
